About Us

Erika is a dynamic entrepreneur based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing & Management) from Elmira College in Elmira, NY. During her time at Elmira, Erika excelled not only academically but also athletically, playing NCAA Varsity Ice Hockey and Golf. Her dedication earned her recognition on the ECAC West Women’s All-Academic Team in both the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons.

In 2014, Erika co-founded ProPet Software, a leading cloud-based kennel management software that revolutionized how pet care businesses operate. Identifying a gap in the industry, she helped create a solution that modernized operations for kennel owners worldwide. Her commitment to innovation didn’t stop there—she launched Barketing Solutions in 2017, a company specializing in modern, professional websites and ongoing support for pet businesses. Recognizing the need for data-driven insights, she further expanded her offerings with Pet Biz Reports in 2022, providing clear and actionable website and marketing performance reports.

In December 2024, Erika launched Digital Pack Leaders, an Exclusive Club for Pet Care Pros: Mastering Websites, SEO, & Google Business Profiles, where she is collaborating with Amy from Pet Sitter SEO to offer monthly webinars and challenges for members. 

Erika has been featured as a guest expert in numerous pet sitting groups and masterminds, sharing her extensive knowledge of website development, SEO, and marketing strategy. Over the years, she and her team at Barketing Solutions have empowered hundreds of pet sitters and dog walkers to elevate their online presence, improve search rankings, and grow their businesses.

When she’s not helping pet businesses thrive, Erika enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and playing golf and hockey.
